Gracious God,

You have called us to be part of your church as members of St. Luke's United Church of Christ.  Make us a community of peacemakers and bridge-builders.  In the midst of turbulence, let our church make space for the hearing of Your still small voice.

Bless our St. Luke's family and enable us to do Your will.  Keep us one in faith and service; breaking bread together and sharing Your good news with the world for many years to come.
Amen

Missions

During this unprecedented time when all of our minds are on the Coronavirus crisis it is important for us to also remember those of us with even greater need.

Daily Bread Community Food Pantry

The pantry is open on the regular client schedule.  Please check their website for the list of current needs or to donate.  http://dailybreadcommunityfoodpantry.org/

Birthday Wishes for the Lenton Season!

Williamson Keyser would like to, once again, challenge the congregation for his birthday this year. After continued conversations about how lucky we are to have food on our table every day, he feels there is still a need for our congregation to collect food for those that don't have the same fortune, even more urgent during COVID-19.  During this season of Lent, he is challenging each person to bring in ONE MORE
(than last year) canned good or nonperishable food item each Sunday to help with this collection. He will personally deliver the collection to the Food Pantry, all while supporting our church's commitment to community outreach. Will’s box will be in the Upper Narthex between March 21 and April 4.  Look for dates to drop off at the church, Sat. and/or Sun.  Thank you, in advance, for your participation in this challenge!

One Great Hour of Sharing

St. Luke's will celebrate One Great Hour of Sharing during our service on Sunday, March 14th.  Please give generously and use the special offering envelope that was mailed to your home.

Missions Easter Pie Sale

There will be a Pie Sale Fundraiser for Easter through Missions.  The order forms can be dropped off at the church, dates will be published for when the church will be open for drop offs, or you can male in your form.  The pies will be home made by a local woman, we are supporting a local business.

Ghana Travel Dates have been Set!

Pastor Pat will be leading a group of 10 to Ghana, leaving on August 1 and returning August 21. Tom Lloyd

be presenting a program on his ministry there in the coming weeks. Until then, let us keep the Ghana Mission Team in our prayers!
A BLESSINGS BOX

We will be initiating a Blessings Box where you can donate a monetary gift for a Blessing you have had in your life. It could be a blessing that you have each week or a blessing that came to you all of a sudden and you would like to be thankful for the event. The monies will be placed in an account that at the end of the year the Council will designate where the funds will go; someone needy or to an organization that is doing good for the community.
SUGGESTION BOX

A team is being organized to seek suggestions for the following ideas:

1. Financial ideas to strengthen and or cut on budget.

2. Long Range Planning for the growth, vitality and future of St. Luke’s.

The Team is being spearheaded by Bob Keyser - all suggestions must have congregant’s name attached to
the letter and can be turned into our Suggestion Box.
Thank You.
